rosemary matcha latte with homemade rosemary simple syrup

Rosemary Matcha Latte: A botanical twist on a classic matcha latte for spring. 🌿🍵

We are LOVING this exquisite combo of rosemary + matcha and think you will too!

Fresh rosemary gently simmered with sugar transforms a basic simple syrup into something truly elevated and so special. Fragrant, lightly sweet, and beautifully herbal, this rosemary simple syrup adds an aromatic depth that pairs so well with matcha.

For added sweetness, vanilla bean or honey are delicious additions. And yes - this Rosemary Matcha Latte is divine whether you have it warm or over ice!

Whether you love matcha for its incredible health benefits, its beautiful color, deliciously unique flavor, rich cultural history, ritualistic vibe, or all of the above like us, this is your reminder that slowing down can be part of your routine. And creating an elevated, café-style latte does not have to be complicated or out of reach.

We’ll leave the recipe below. Made by our very dear friend and latte goddess, @espresso.archives.

6–8 oz milk of choice
1 tsp rosemary simple syrup (add more depending on your preference)

Sift matcha into your matcha bowl. Add hot water, then whisk vigorously in a W or M motion for about 30 seconds, until smooth and frothy.
