Bamboo Chasen (Whisk) - 100 Tine

Made entirely of bamboo, this traditional 100-tine chasen is designed to help you whisk a smooth, creamy bowl of matcha with ease. Whether you’re new to matcha or deep in your ritual, this timeless tool supports every scoop and sip with intention.

Using your chasen:
Start by gently sifting your matcha into your bowl, then add a small amount of hot (not boiling) water. Whisk briskly in a “W” or zigzag motion until a creamy froth forms on top - then enjoy your perfect bowl of matcha!

To care for your chasen:

Bloom before each use: Dip in warm water for a few seconds to soften the tines and help maintain their shape.

After use: Rinse with clean water (no soap), shake off excess water, and let it air dry completely. We recommend placing it on our ceramic chasen tate (whisk stand) to help preserve its shape and allow proper airflow.

Avoid storing it in the plastic case - it’s meant for shipping, not long-term storage, as moisture can get trapped and lead to mold.
